LandSouth's internship program gives you the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in ground-up multifamily construction and learn what it takes to successfully manage a project. You’ll work with our team to build your knowledge of project management practices, construction processes, and industry-specific software, while gaining exposure to the different areas of construction that come together throughout a project. It’s a great opportunity to learn, ask questions, and get a better understanding of what a career in multifamily could look like!

Below is a high-level overview of what you will learn over the course of the summer: 

Preconstruction

• Explore how conceptual and hard bids are developed
• Practice performing a material take-off
• Join the plan review process

Safety

• Participate in a job site safety standdown
• Complete a mock safety inspection
• Earn your OSHA 10 certification 

Office Operations

• Get certified in Procore project management software
• Understand the permitting process
• Attend a project hand-off meeting

Field Operations

• Accompany inspectors on site visits
• Contribute to schedule review meetings
• Assist with subcontractor coordination

 What We're Looking For

• Students seeking a career path in the multifamily construction industry (large-scale luxury apartment, affordable housing, and/or senior living)
• Currently enrolled in a university or trade school program focused on Construction Management or a related field
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to pass a background check, in accordance with local law/regulations
